The care of your tie.

One of our goals is to provide a product at an affordable price that lasts over time.

If you were to knot any outfit for a week, you probably won't be able to remove the folds anymore. This is not the case with a silk tie. The silk tie bears knotting for years, as long as some precautions are taken.

It is important not to make too tight knots and completely loosen the knot after use using this process:

  • Loosen the knot of the tie gently
  • Remove the tie from the head
  • Fully open the tie
  • Wrap the tie around your hand
  • Leave it lying down for a night or for 6/8 hours

The folds the next morning will be completely gone, in case some fold remains, use the iron.

Proper use of the iron is essential for the tie. NEVER place the iron directly on the tie. Use the iron at medium temperature and place a clean cotton cloth between the iron and the tie. The steam will remove the creases.

NEVER iron the acute angles of the tie as there is a risk of flattening them and deforming the product.

It is also a good idea to leave it hanging in the bathroom during a shower or a hot bath, the steam that will form in the room will have the same effect.

This tie can be stored hanging, or lying horizontally. The cheapest method is definitely a clothes hanger. There are also special ties hangers on the market. Always pay attention not to arrange them attached, but air circulates between a tie and the other and that there are no sharp corners of the wardrobe that can damage the fabric.

Care must be taken that the tie does not come into direct contact with sunlight, dust or humidity.

A specially designed drawer can be used. Ties can be folded in half or rolled up. Rolling them up gives you a greater overall view and the folds will disappear.

If you have to travel with a tie, the safe ways to carry it are as follows:

  • Roll it up and put it in a corner of the suitcase
  • Fold it to half its length and place it on top of all other clothes
  • Roll it up and put it in the collar of the shirt
  • Use a tie rack
  •

To wash your ties you must not wash them with water! Silk ties must be dry cleaned. Attention, rely on good laundry, cheaper laundries are not always the best.

Stains should be treated immediately. Silk is a fiber that absorbs dirt very quickly. However, it is not always possible to remove stains instantly. One trick is to remove the material with a dabbing towel, after removing the excess material.
